About Self-Discovery
Luisa Viviani was born in Astoria, New York and later moved to Florida. After many years of being a home maker, she began to discover her own passions and interests.
In 1997, she had a profound meditation experience which inspired her to create Self-Discovery.
Self-Discovery began as an after-school program at the Art Serve Library in Fort Lauderdale. Due to its popularity, the program was expanded to a local middle school where Luisa taught meditation for 11 years.
Self-Discovery was also implemented in pre-schools, rehabilitation centers, juvenile detention centers, Broward County Correctional Institution, and various community outreach programs.
Luisa Viviani is the author of a children’s book “There Is Something Special Inside of Me”, "There Is Something Special Inside of Me Too", "Where Is The Love?" and is currently writing other children’s books published through Self-Discovery.
Mission
- Teaching children to look within themselves and discover who they really are.
- Bringing their focus inward to gain access to the great virtues and gifts that already exist within them.
- Guiding them to connect with their own heart which holds the key to fulfilling their life’s purpose and
reaching their full potential.
- Encouraging unity through love.
- Helping them discover that we are all one, regardless of our exterior form.
Vision
Imagine a world where children see each other as equals, no matter what race, color, religion or position they hold in life. They take responsibility for their experiences and apply self-effort to change the outcome of their lives.
Empowered in feeling confident, important, creative, fearless, kind, compassionate, happy and non-violent, they would use communication to resolve their issues with one another.
With Self-Discovery, we do not need to imagine, we know it is possible.
